A good tree care company offers a host of services, such as tree pruning, tree and stump removal and tree care consulting. Choosing a reputable, quality company can improve the condition of your trees. But if you select the wrong company, your trees (and pocket) might suffer.
Don\’t hire any company for tree care service. Here are three things to watch for in a tree care company.
1. Poor customer support. If you call a tree care service to inquire about tree pruning or another service, the company should be happy to address your concerns and answer questions. If you receive the opposite response, choose another company.
2. Proper credentials. Ask the tree care service for proof of insurance and licensure. Be cautious if they can\’t or refuse to supply this information.
3. Higher than normal pricing. The price for services like tree pruning and tree and stump removal will vary among companies. However, prices should fall within the same range. If a tree care company quotes a price that\’s much higher than its competitors, the company is probably inflating the price for a bigger commission.
