First of all, one needs to understand that an arborist is a noun. That means instead of speaking with an automated service or finding a slew of vague answers from a Google search, you are speaking with an individual. Not just any individual, but an individual who has been trained in the field of tree care. Specifically, an arborist is;
\”a specialist in the cultivation and care of trees and shrubs, including tree surgery, the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of tree diseases, and the control of pests.\” (Arborist [Def. 1] In Dictionary.com online, retrieved August 19, 2014, from http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/arborist).
Our team are all certified arborists. Trained and educated for well over 20 years. Our team will ensure your trees will be cared for expertly because of they are certified and qualified.
Please note, that not all landscaping companies that hire arborists are properly certified to actually act upon their claims.
According to the International Society of Arboriculture, some important questions you should be asking is when considering to hire an arborists:
- Is your arborists certified?
- Will your arborist be qualified? Meaning, he or she has taken TRAQ. Tree Risk Assesment Qualification. Certification is good but it only grants the use of a credential to individuals for a specific period of time. If an arborist is qualified he or she has been awarded for achievement of a narrow body of knowledge with very specific learning objectives. In essesnce look for certification as well as qualification.
\”This qualification promotes the safety of people and property by providing a standardized and systematic process for assessing tree risk. The results of a tree risk assessment can provide tree owners and risk managers with the information to make informed decisions to enhance tree benefits, health, and longevity.\”
- Lastly, does the arborist maintain his or her certification? Are they up-to-date on their education?
