Tree Removal Permits in Richmond Hill
Richmond Hill’s bylaws specify that the removal of any tree with a diameter larger than 20 cm (8 inches) at 1.4 m above the ground requires a tree removal permit. The town also requires permits when more than 25% of a tree will be pruned or when construction will take place within a tree’s protected zone. The application for a Richmond Hill tree removal permit is available online here where you are able to attach your Advanced Tree Care Arborist Report. After submission, the city will take about 30 days to review the application and confirm whether you have been approved for a tree removal permit or by-law exemption. As part of the application and possibly for the removal itself, Richmond Hill will charge fees.
Arborist Inspection to Apply for Tree Removal Permits
In order to receive the permit, Richmond Hill also requires the application to include a report from an arborist certified by the ISA like the arborists at Advanced Tree Care.
